How does Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Help You?
As a psychotherapist, I work with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – a modern, evidence-based, and practical form of psychotherapy. It helps individuals understand and actively change distressing thoughts, emotions, and behavior patterns.
Many psychological challenges stem from difficult life circumstances or from thinking and behavioral patterns that have developed over many years—often without us even realizing it. CBT addresses these patterns directly: it helps to make them visible, understand them in context, and develop new, more helpful ways of thinking, feeling, and acting.
Benefits of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy:
- It is solution-focused and clearly structured
- It strengthens your sense of self-efficacy and ability to take action
- It is highly adaptable—to your personal situation, pace, and goals
- It offers practical tools you can apply directly in your daily life
In our work together, I will support you in taking concrete steps to gain more quality of life, inner stability, and self-confidence.

A trusted team of specialists
In my work as a psychotherapist, it is especially important to me to support people with mindfulness, professionalism, and a personalized approach.
Depending on your needs, I can draw on the expertise of a strong, interdisciplinary team. This collaboration allows us to view complex issues from multiple professional perspectives and ensure the best possible therapeutic support.
My extended network of specialists at Praxis am Kärntner Ring includes:
- Dr. Elisabeth Harmankaya, Board-Certified Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist
- Dr. Peter Langer, Board-Certified Psychiatrist and Neurologist
- Mag. Ivana Zwickl, Licensed Psychotherapist and Executive Coach
- Mag. Reinhilde Moser, Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Through this close professional exchange, psychotherapy can be meaningfully complemented when needed—be it through psychiatric care, psychological assessment, or targeted coaching. Your concerns are always at the center of our work.
We offer group therapy sessions
Many of my clients benefit additionally from group therapy. In a small, safe, and trusting setting, you’ll experience that you are not alone with your challenges.
I regularly witness how empowering it can be to learn from one another, gain new perspectives, and offer mutual support. Group sessions can be a meaningful complement to individual therapy – they foster social skills, strengthen self-esteem, and create space for shared growth.

A safe and private space – just for you
In my practice, sessions take place in a calm, respectful, and safe environment. It is important to me that you feel secure and taken seriously—because you are at the center of the process.
Together, we explore what can support you in your everyday life, which resources already exist within you, and how you can learn to better cope with stressful situations and inner conflicts.
I tailor the therapeutic process to your individual life circumstances, your needs, and your goals—because every person brings a unique story and their own set of challenges.
It is my sincere aim to support you on your path with empathy, professional clarity, and genuine interest—step by step, at your own pace.
